Vietnamese Lunar New Year Festival in Hoi An
ANIROCKS took the stage at Vietnam Lunar New Year Festival, celebrated in the ancient town of Hoi An (a UNESCO World Heritage Site).
In 2024, we participated in Hoi An City’s official Lunar New Year Countdown Concert. This year marked a major shift as the city moved its Lunar New Year celebrations from the Old Town to Central Park, creating a large-scale event combining countdown festivities with fireworks—a first for Hoi An. As a project spearheaded by the Mayor himself, ANIROCKS was honored to take part.
The day before the concert, Mr. Nishizaki, President of Takara Holdings, received an award from Hoi An City in recognition of his years of contributions. It was heartwarming to reunite with familiar faces—the Mayor, Director of the Tourism Center, and others we’ve collaborated with over the years—who still remembered us fondly.
The concert itself was spectacular beyond measure: deafening sound systems, dazzling fireworks, and breathtaking lighting that embodied Vietnam’s unstoppable energy. The next day, as Vietnam welcomed its New Year, we experienced something rare—streets free of the usual traffic chaos—a refreshing change.
Our partnership with Hoi An, a UNESCO World Heritage Site in central Vietnam, looks set to thrive in the years ahead.
